History of the Great Wizard Merlin
History is that Merlin the Wizard, who was the most powerful of his time, except for one who will go unamed as of now, devoted part of his life to the education of King Arthur when Arthur was a boy. Some people believe that he may have been a Celtic god that through the passage of time became called a great wizard. We know that this isn't true because otherwise he wouldn't have got trapped in the stone room and died.Merlins trainee, Arthur, pulled a sword from the stone and that was how he became king. That same sword failed him later in battle.Excalibur was a legendary sword that when forged with the staff ,Midlen, became an even greater sword Mildebaran. Not many people know this, as all records were destroyed, except for the knowledge of the Beholders.Another name Merlin was  known as was in the Welsh tales of Myrddin.

History of Excalibur
History of Excalibur is as I already said forged with the staff, Midlen, forming the sword, Mildebaran. Some legends say that it was forged on the Land of Avalon, but others say that it was given to Merlin by the Lady of the Lake. If you want my opinion I think that it was forged on the Land of Avalon, and the Lady of the Lake stole it for her own purpose, but not common knowledge, in the Land of Avalon swords like Excalibur were common, and cheap. Even the Lady of the Lake didn't know that they were or she would have just bought one, but what you care to believe is your buisiness. The Welsh name for Excalibur was Caladvwlch, and the sword that Arthur pulled from the stone was not really Excalibur.
